Prospective students & collaborators. I am always searching for motivated and talented RPg students, RAs and visiting Ph.D. students. There could also be postdoc opportunities under co-supervision. I have several projects in mind and look for the right candidates to work on them together. Please send me your CV, transcripts, and a brief explanation of research interests. Outstanding RPg candidates can apply for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) and the HKU Presidential PhD Scholar Programme (HKU-PS).

Short Bio

I was born and grew up in Shanghai, China. I received the B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Jun 2014, with a minor in Economics. I spent a wonderful Summer 2012 at the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge, UK, as an exchange student. I also had internship experience in the manufacturing industry and in a public policy consulting firm.

I was fortunate to receive the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Management, National University of Singapore (NUS), Jun 2019, supervised by Prof. William B. Haskell (now at the Supply Chain and Operations Management Department, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business, Purdue University) and Prof. Tang Loon Ching. During my doctoral study, I also had the opportunity to collaborate with Prof. Huifu Xu, and participated in the E2S2-CREATE project under the Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise, Singapore.

Prior to the current post, recruited by the HKU-100 Global Recruitment Exercise, I held prestigious joint postdoc positions at the School of Data Science, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, China, and the Department of Decision Sciences, HEC Montréal, Québec, Canada (also affiliated with the Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data (SRIBD) and the Group for Research in Decision Analysis (GERAD)), from Sep 2019 to Sep 2021, working with Prof. Erick Delage and Prof. Zizhuo Wang.
